1999 James Dean Lookalike Contest, page two
Judges and Finalists

Mark and Del

Mark learns he is the winner, as Del congratulates him.

Rob Qualls pose brought down the house! Even the mud on his boots was perfect. (If you are new to all this, this is one of the poses Jimmy struck for his back-home-in-Fairmount photo shoot for Life magazine.)

Del Ray   Back at the Gallery, Del got into costume and didn't break character until the contest was over. He was a jubilant Jett!

David Wozniak
David Wozniak definitely knew his scene from Rebel Without a Cause. All the emotions were emanating from his character. Good show, David.

Brad Reynolds    Only Brad Reynolds knew that he was uncomfortable up on the stage for the first time. He fooled us. (He confessed on Thursday.) Brad looked fine up there, in spite of having put in weeks and weeks struggling to get The Legend Diner up and running for this festival weekend. Be sure to eat there as often as you can, because this romantic diner is an experience never to be forgotten. You'll have to look into the kitchen to see Brad cooking, but if the time is right, you might get his wife, Lady, to sing.

all the judges

Here are most of the judges, I think. Far left, our president of We Remember Dean International, Myla Kent! She's talking with Mark Winslow.

three judges receiving award
I lost my notes. This is Mark receiving his award.

Bopper    A well-done for the Bopper as M.C, the judges, the contestants and most of the crowd. I hope next year there will be no boos from the crowd. Booing is unsportsmanlike and unfriendly. I hadn't heard it before this year's contest, and I hope I never hear it again. James Dean stands for friendship. (Thanks for listening.)
