The James Dean
Memorial Service
photo album, page two
Nikky placed the flowers on the gravestone and soon departed. We aren't allowed to know anything more about him. But the mother-daughter pair in the background are Sarah and Becky Ferguson from Toronto. That's not a Dean secret. You had a long trip to the dentist, eh Becky? Or wasn't that the excuse you used to get out of school for something much more important?
Aleta's from the Chicago area too, like Pam. She is a knowledgeable and devoted fan. I missed hearing what she was reading here. I hope she'll write and tell me. She made it to every activity. That takes stamina!
Sarah and Becky Ferguson from Toronto. It was great to see a mom and daughter getting along so well. This is the best of all possible types of mother, the mother who knows how important the Dean legend is. Surely goodness and mercy will follow them all the days of their lives.
Bob led us in singing a hymn. Our voices blew away in the wind, but the feeling remained.
My neighbors, Ivan Ivins and his friend Linda of Bluffton are instrumental in the James Dean Motorcycle Run to Fairmount each summer. They are active in ABATE, a motorcycle association. Ivan says they wouldn't miss attending the memorial service each year.
There is now a constantly updated INDEX of some of Our Dean pages.
