Kewl Dean-Linked People
- Bob Rees in Katy, Texas, is my best proofreader. I thank him, and I wish everyone would tell me if a link doesn't work. He wrote:
"Did you hear that a new James Dean TV show has surfaced--The Trouble With Father 1952. Interesting!" and in a subsequent letter he added "It truly is the biggest Dean news so far this year! Imagine a new Dean appearance that everyone can see! Since he only did the 3 main movies--to discover new material by him is a big deal. Quality is very good too! I have it if people are interested. The Trouble With Father 1952. "Visit R R Rees or email him at mysterease@lconn.com or, as he says on his site, "Please send self-addressed stamped envelope (with 2 stamps on it) (or foreign send 3 Intl. Reply Coupons) to R. R. Rees, 20806 Park Canyon, Katy, Texas 77450. Please specify interest and I'll include memorabilia list too, if you are interested.""Rare Videos of James Dean. From 13 of his 50's TV shows, to foreign documentaries, unaired, un- released, newsclips, tributes, specials, film he shot, and more.

- Guess who has a new business on the Internet? See Christie Berry's new business, DaddyO's, for James Dean collectibles and other nostalgia! A Super Site!! Outstanding web design; I wish I had made it! Christie, a Fairmount native, is Bob Pulley's daughter.
- Brandon Yip has a new website about James Dean. It is loaded with graphics and more. His favorite of the three movies is Giant, so visit his cool site at http://members.home.net/giant/
- Hamburger Harry is a major James Dean fan. Look at the license plates he has for sale, and other 50s stuff!
- An unusual offer of a James Dean bubble gum card! Here is the email I received:
Allan Lanctot in Burlington, Canada has a James Dean Hit Star Trading card in good condition and a similar card of Liz Taylor in very good to excellent condition. These cards were produced in the fifties by Topps Chewing Gum company. The back of the cards contain a brief but interesting set of facts on these stars. Aquisition may be possible for the serious collector. For information about either of these cards, contact
alanctot@bserv.com
- Magdalin Leonardo, email magdalin@webfields.com is writing a book about what makes us Dean fans. Please email her and tell her about your interest in Dean, and your collection and anything else Deanish. She's a lot of fun. Magdalin now has many pages on this very site, and another about her, by me. See the James Dean New York Walking Tour headed by David Loehr, as reported and photographed by Magdalin Leonardo.
- New: Kip Brown out in California is said to be the most knowledgeable person on the planet when it comes to James Dean. Everyone refers me to him when I have a question. He owns a record shop called Ear Candy and has been writing a book for ten years.

- The James Dean Gallery owned by Dean archivist David Loehr is detailed on Mark Kinnaman's page and at a great many of my pages in Deaners magazineJames Dean festival page.
- Though I no longer make the site for them, the James Dean Silver Medallions are as beautiful as ever.
Pages That Link to Mine
Want to go back to the
- My site is homework! The University of Alabama lists my James Dean pages for the English curriculum. I wake up at night in a cold sweat from dreaming that I've found missteakes in my pagies. Many thanks to the wonderful, discerning Professor Tuman for recognizing me. UA students, send me the secret word (49Ford) and I'll add your email address here.
- I hadn't discovered the fine Brazilian Dean site of Luciana Rocha, until she wrote to me. She has gathered a ton of links!
- Big Blue Car the epic work of Mel Klimas, has a James Dean page among the other goodies. Far be it from me to lead you straight to it. Getting there is half the fun. Find your art pedal, says Mel, and mash it to the floor. Cars, cars cars - all my favorite kustoms are here. Find the James Dean section!!!
- Nick Bellotti in France links to me. His page is in French. He calls it Blue Painter. I know he has excellent taste in links!
- The R R Rees of Dean memorabilia fame, whom you read about on this page, links to me.
- Mark Kinnaman links to me, but he had to, 'cause I made his beautiful site. Great Dean and 50s memorabilia for sale, with much more Dean and 50s information.
- Another Dean site has the good taste to link to Mark and me. Visit Lookalike Mark Gruetzman's James Byron Dean Site
Mark is a doll, bet you can't tell which is Jimmy, which is Mark on his site!
- The James Dean site at Comtek linked to me. It has been revamped and is lookin' good! Marc writes the only James Dean page about Fairmount that is written from Fairmount itself, so it should be more up to date than mine. Mine is written from 45 minutes away from Fairmount.
- Though not a Dean site, Tim and Rona Verthein's Hepcats Website discovered me early on. Many thanks. I think their 50s store is gone from their site, but the Edsel pages still rock! They are also mentioned in my 50s links.
Contents listings?
It doesn't link to me, but the original James Dean official site is still on-line. It loads faster now that they are using frames. I do wish they would link to the fans' pages. It seems like they would appreciate having fans.
