Film students Lara Kaloustian and Debra McCullough left Boston behind to attend this year's walking tour.

After the walk, I received this follow-up from Debra McCullough:

I have been a devout James Dean fan for a number of years now, though I don't remember when I discovered him. It's almost as though he's been with me all along.

I went on the walking tour of New York hangouts on the 23rd, and it was wonderful. I met David Loehr for the first time, saw sites I'd never seen before, took rolls and rolls of film worth of pictures, and came back with a few more friends than I had when I left Boston. I have yet to visit Fairmount, but am definitely planning a trip for December. I'm so excited. I hope to hear from any Dean fans. My address is debbiemc@bu.edu

I was on the train recently and I asked this girl who had a great piercing how much it hurt. We started talking and she pointed to my James Dean gallery pin, asking me if I'd gone there yet. Turned out she's fixated on him too, and we talked until the train came to her stop, about jd and the shrines we have turned our rooms into in his memory. It was crazy, but wonderful. The more people I meet, the more admirers of Jimmy I discover there are in the world. He is loved by lots. I'd love it if you'd post my letter on the page, with my address. Thanks,
