Lisa and JIM Dutcher with Chris Neel of the Starlight Drifters in the chair. Look familiar? Yes, it's the famous pool photo from 1997, because this year we were barred from the pool. They said "somebody" broke a beer bottle in it, then they fined David a ton of money besides closing the pool for a week. We do not think "we" did it.

AFTER HOURS
Rockin Record Hop
with DEL VILLARREAL Del Villarreal is host of WCBN's "Go Cat Go! The Rockabilly Show" in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area. Enjoy him in the Party Room of the Holiday Inn Southeast from 2:00 A.M. to 4:00 A.M., after the Thursday, Friday and Saturday night shows.
Coming soon: photos from the parties.
M.C. Ken Mottet
Our M.C. is always Ken Mottet, our favorite! He's from Chicago. And though you didn't ask for it, take this advice: use earplugs. They pay off. Ask someone who wouldn't wear them, if they can hear you.
Our DJ is always none other than his excellency Joe D, who kept his music low enough that we could converse between sets. Many thanks for that kindness, Joe! And get this, the sound was in the capable hands of the dreamy Stuart Sanders, shown here (from 1997) with his adorable wife Kerry:

I've posted the lyrics to a song Kerry said Stuart will want to do. Then you can visit Kerry's new tattoo of their son's name, Tucker.
Bob Timmers himself, the founder of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame, came to our shindig! He gave away tee shirts, stayed available for all our questions and both he and his lovely, capable wife Sonja added a lot to the ambiance. Photos are coming soon.

David Loehr brought us another of the annual Rockabilly Rebel Weekends, the original US Rockabilly weekender.
Various guests have told Otto how this weekender is the friendliest of any they have been to. Rockabilly Rebel Weekend is midwestern, down-home comfy. A big pajama party.
Er, it's a pajama party with more beer, more tattoos, more hair grease and more black leather than Sandra Dee ever envisioned.
What Otto does is concentrate on the photos and let you send in your comments about the bands.Back to the table of contents? This page will be an overview. There will be a nice photo album and more band coverage. You are all welcome to send reviews by email to Sandra Weinhardt, editor@tentativetimes.net or U.S. postal mail to 125 South Marion, Suite 101, Bluffton IN 46714.
The pageWatch update service no longer works when I try it. They are charging now. I regret losing that service, and hope you will check this page occasionally. The extra-good news is that the
1999 Rockabilly Rebel Weekend is all written up by Barry Klein at the Rockabilly Hall of Fame website!
